I mentioned my past success using Weight Watchers in my first WLW post, along with my reluctance to shell out the cash to do the program again. Monday morning, frustrated with the post-weekend number on the scale and craving a pack of Fruities (only sold at Weight Watchers), I began the search for a meeting. By Monday evening I was sitting in a meeting and back on the Weight Watchers bandwagon.
I got a monthly pass that breaks down to about $1.30 a day and think of it as a good investment. Having to re-arrange my budget to accommodate the monthly pass makes me motivated to stick to the plan, reach my goal weight, and make it to Lifetime Membership status when meetings are free (when you stay within two pounds of your goal weight).
I’m very confident that Weight Watchers can be done on a budget. The weekly guides have coupons for Weight Watchers products and there are often sales for the somewhat expensive in-meeting products that I really like. There are also coupons for a ton of “points-friendly” foods that can be great bargains. For example, Skinny Cow ice cream sandwiches and cups (delicious and only two points!) are only $1 at CVS this week. Get a coupon by “liking” Skinny Cow’s Facebook page and you can get one for free!
