Deals at IKEA

July 24, 2011 in Cheap Eats,Shopping

Many of my Saturday mornings are spent at IKEA.  The IKEA Restaurant offers two strips of bacon, scrambled eggs and hash browns for only $.99.  For just a buck more, I typically splurge and get French toast sticks or Swedish pancakes and a cup of coffee.   While IKEA breakfast is my favorite bargain, the new IKEA Family program has given me additional reasons to visit.  IKEA Family offers members-only offers throughout the store on everything from furniture to frozen yogurt.

It only takes a couple of minutes to sign up, and the registration form asks questions about your lifestyle to help tailor offers to you.  I’m not sure why it thinks I’m in the market to spend a minimum of $2,500 on a kitchen, but I’m looking forward to getting free coffee or tea with each visit.  The IKEA Family page also has shopping lists that can make a trip to the huge store a more manageable experience.  IKEA Family members are also entered to win a $100 IKEA gift card each time their card is scanned at checkout.  That could buy a lot of breakfast!
